Aberdeen Cycle Forum started in 2003 when a handful of people wanting to improve conditions for cyclists in Aberdeen first met. Today we are recognised by organisations as diverse as the Scottish Parliament, city councils, police, other government bodies, and the media as representing cyclists in Aberdeen. The group’s aim is to encourage cycling of all types: cycling for pleasure, cycling to work and to school, to the shops, off-road or on-road. In 2010 we decided it was time to write down what we were doing, this resulted in a formal constitution. Anyone who shares the aims of this is welcome to
join.
Currently there are two office-holders – Gavin Clark (chair) and Rachel Martin (communications and campaigns secretary). But we are also looking for new people and ideas so please get in touch if you’d like to be involved.
